Batavia Made is inspired by the past, present, and future of Batavia, Illinois and is defined by the people who keep its spirit of energy alive.
Batavia Made is a passion project conceived in January of 2017 by Andy Kenney, a native of Batavia. He and his wife, Ariane (also a native of Batavia), own and operate Hearth & Hammer, a literary candle studio based in town. After planting their roots and setting up shop, they wanted a way to express their love for the town they call home in a tangible form and thus, Batavia Made began.
Building on Batavia's past, Batavia Made embodies the values of the old Challenge Windmill Company slogan: "Unrivalled, Unequalled, Simplest and Strongest.”
